Description
This 5 ingredient taco soup recipe by Tales Of A Kitchen proves that you don’t need a long list of ingredients to create something comforting and delicious.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef (or turkey, if preferred)
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies (like Rotel)
- 1 can (15 oz) corn, drained
Instructions
- In a large pot or Dutch oven, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the taco seasoning until the beef is well-coated.
- Add the black beans, diced tomatoes, and corn to the pot. Stir everything together.
- Pour in 1-2 cups of water or broth (adjust for your desired consistency) and bring the soup to a boil.
- Reduce the heat to low and let the soup simmer for 15 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
Notes
- Ground turkey or chicken works just as well for a lighter option.
- Add a diced jalapeño or a pinch of cayenne for extra heat.
- Skip the meat and use vegetable broth for a hearty, plant-based version.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
