Chocolate pudding…rawdefined

There’s yummy…and then there’s squidgy chocolate-smothered mouthwatering dessert.

Yes, it’s chocolate. Yes, it’s rich. Yes yes, it’s definitely pudding. Oh yes, it’s very raw.

Nooo, of course it does not have any added sugars, eggs, flour, butter, nor cream.

Actually, in moderate quantities, it’s ridiculously healthy – low in cholesterol and sodium; good source of protein, calcium, zinc; and a very good source of dietary fiber, copper, manganese, iron, magnesium, phosphorous, potassium, vitamin C, B6, K and folate. Need we say more?

To make it we used:

1 and 1/2 cups water
1/4 cup sesame seeds
about 1/3 cup dates (chopped)
7 TBSP of raw unsweetened cocoa powder
bit of vanilla extract
1 small banana (very ripe, chopped)

Aaaand….hold on to your seats:

1 medium avocado (ripe, scooped)

We topped it with a bit of almond flakes.

The alchemy behind this bowl of creamy goodness is as simple as it gets. In a powerful blender, we processed the sesame seeds with half the water until soft & somewhat fluffy. We then added the rest of the water and all the other ingredients and processed some more, until it became completely smooth. We topped it with few almond flakes and indulged away!

This makes about 3-4 servings.
