This morning, more towards lunch time, I was craving for a fresh snack and I immediately started to visualize a green apple sandwich with layers of creamy banana stuffed in between crisp apple slices.

I used half a banana to make it creamy and add some sweetness, as well as a bit of raw honey and cinnamon. Needless to say I licked all spoons and fingers while ‘recipe developing‘. Sauce is taste-approved and GOOD!

Ingredients
  • For sauce:
  • 3 TBSP almond butter, unsweetened, unflavored
  • 1 TBSP tahini
  • 1 tsp sweetener of choice (raw honey, pure agave)
  • 2 TBSP lemon juice
  • 2/3 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 banana, mashed
  • For snack:
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1 apple
  • 1-2 TBSP linseed meal
  • 1-2 TBSP chia seeds
Instructions
  1. In a bowl, mix ingredients for the sauce, using a wooden or silicone spatula.
  2. Cut apple and banana and layer up your apple sandwich with 1, 2 or 3 apple slices. Or serve apple and banana slices with the dip.
