There’s no secret that I love my apples and enjoy them everyday, either on their own, in a smoothie or as a yummy snack with some extras like seeds and nuts. This morning, more towards lunch time, I was craving for a fresh snack and I immediately started to visualize a green apple sandwich with layers of creamy banana stuffed in between crisp apple slices.
For extra deliciousness, I also whipped up a creamy sweet sauce to use both in the sandwich and as a dip to serve with apple slices. I used half a banana to make it creamy and add some sweetness, as well as a bit of raw honey and cinnamon. Needless to say I licked all spoons and fingers while ‘recipe developing‘. Sauce is taste-approved and GOOD!
