There are so many reasons to celebrate and be grateful for this year. Great health and happiness, spending time with family after few years of missing them from a distance, a wonderful year of sharing my life with my partner, a brand new healthy ‘n gorgeous baby niece, catching up with long lost friends, starting my own little business, a year of blogging and all of you.
Yes, TalesofaKitchen is just a little over a year now and I am immensely grateful to all my readers for your amazing feedback and support. I am reading your messages and emails with such great joy each time. I am so truly happy to have all of you in my little kitchen, trying my food and even happier every time I learn how much you’re enjoying it and how much better you are for it. All I can hope for in the upcoming year is for all of us to indulge in even more delicious food that is kind to our bodies, better health for all of us, more love and blessings all around.
TalesofaKitchen is now all grown up, far from the memory of the little hobby, pet project it started out to be. And I have grown with it. Because of you, I sought to be a better cook, a better photographer and more knowledgeable with respect to various dietary requirements and constraints. That is thanks to you, my lovely readers. You reminded me how important it is to appreciate all the good things in my life and you made me want to be better in so many ways. My heart is filled with gratitude not only today, the eve of a new year, but everyday.
I chose to share this watermelon burst on this day because it is a light, healthy smoothie that makes me happy. Yes, a happy smoothie for happy bellies and a happy new year! Enjoy it while preparing your yummy dishes for tonight. In addition to some light veggie canapes that I will be preparing for the first time, I will be making some raw choc brownies and raw choc mousse for my New Years dessert. Keeping it healthy all the way!
Have a Happy ‘n Delicious New Year! xx
